I just read that there has been a rise in throat cancer.

The children of the 70's, who grew up with with Nixon, divorce, the hostage crisis, and oral sex, are now in their 40's, 50's and the cancer is beginning to strike. Just as HIV was sneaking into the public awareness, other , less proliferating, including herpesviruses and HPV- often symptomless and highly contagious. Millions of people over the past 30 years have been playing , in effect, the ultimate shell game. After all, no matter how many people practice safe sex during intercourse almost nobody has oral sex through latex!

In the 70's the Drs noticed a spread of HPV. They say it was linked to a change in sexual habits. Between the pill in 1960 and AIDS in 1984, more people had more sex and more KINDS of sex. This is now causing tumors on tongues and threatning their larynx and spreading to their lymph nodes. This is the same virus that causes cervical cancer except now it is showing up in throats because of the "Sexual revolution". I guess they should be doing PAP smears on people throats now like they do the pap smear on women.

Can you see an outbreak in the JW congregations? Their secrets would be out. How many teens that are probably Elders now, were hiding their little secrets then?...

Correlation does not always mean causation. Cancer screening & detection has also improved a lot in the past 40 years, particularly since the beginning of the 'war on cancer', which ironically was Nixon's thing.

i attended one day of a two day assembly and did ok until the very last talk.

the brother was from bethal and well jw's pay closer attention to their talks, cause that is when some new info is given,,,right.

well anyways i lost focus and began to daydream, cause it became one of those talks that just talks about wasting time.

question about judicial committee meetings

a couple of young people about 20years old,,,,were involved with each....they went too far with the being alone situation....not sure if they reported themselves or some one else did...reguardless.....i guess the elders asked both of them extremely embarrassing questions and very very personal ones...like what kind of underwear she wore,,,,,did she have an orgasm.....etc etc..... i do not understand why this is done?????

they went too far,,,acknowledged it,,,,met with the elders...why the deep personal questions??

they already had all the information they needed...... i should know these things,,,being in the borg for 30 years...but i don't,,,i really do not understand why????

They are only asserting the claim that "An intelligent designer is necesssary for the origin of [biological] life from non-life.", and attempting to support it with evidence from chemistry, mathematics, etc. demonstrating that non-intelligent natural only processes are unable (even given generous assumptions) to generate life from non-life.

Fair enough, but they're still wrong, as science is showing more & more every day, & it's still just an assertion, based not on research, but rather on (mostly uninformed) speculation. They are fundamentally anti-research & anti-science in their views, & they only like science if it tells them what they want to hear, they aren't interested in reality. If they deny any of that, they are liars, & if they accuse atheists of being the same, they are wrong.

End of debate as far as i'm concerned.

P.S. Oh & the distinction they make between 'life' & 'non-life' shows just how flawed & unscientific their understanding of chemistry & biology is. Once again i say, they are not interested in science, all they want is to link the supernatural with reality. Hence their misunderstanding (rooted in willful ignorance) of the calloquial terms 'life' & 'non-life' & their silly assertion that 'life' has a 'soul' & 'non-life' is fundamentally different & has 'no soul'. Utterly wrong, & utterly childish.

It's not as bad as when that governing body moron spoke about how he looks forward to seeing homosexuals being eaten by birds. I bet the homosexuals in the audience who were studying (let's face it, there were bound to be some) were just thrilled to hear that.

Although, i suppose on the bright side, it probably made them aware that this cult isn't worth their time.

meh.. that it was identified by the label was meaningless insofar as all religions have cult-like ways about them.. .

what was meaningful was that it wasn't true, and that i was back to where i started as an atheist.. .

my sister visited me a few months ago, and she was on a holy roller, 'save my soul' kick.

she told me that i needed to get back to the meetings because armageddon was so near.

i told her that if i serve jehovah, it will not be because i am afraid of dying at armageddon, it will be because i love him and have a personal relationship with him.

What's worse is when they sprinkle it with emotional blackmail & say things like: "What will your grandfather think if he's resurrected in the new system & you aren't there to greet him?"

When you really think about it, it's pretty evil that people are being driven to say things like that. I don't blame the people who say it though. I blame the fuckers in charge of the cult, it's they who put the evil thoughts in the heads of the R&F.
